A partnership with Shokz has brought music to the ears of organisers of this year’s Gold Coast Marathon presented by ASICS.

On board as ‘Official Headphones’ for the event Shokz is designed to let the user enjoy music or content whilst staying aware of their surroundings and keeping the wearer safe and connected with the world around them.

Events Management Queensland CEO Ben Mannion welcomed Shokz to the team and congratulated them on their products that allows runners to enjoy music with their open-ear headphones but enabled them to stay safe by still being able to hear what’s going on around them.

“We’re excited about this partnership – it’s a unique product that means runners and walkers can listen to their favourite tunes safely and comfortably whilst pounding the pavements training for their Gold Coast Marathon event.”

A Shokz promotion from 25 March – 5 April will see some great giveaways including – two entries into the Gold Coast Marathon presented by ASICS (including the sold – out 42.195 and Half Marathon events), five pairs of the Shokz OpenRun Pro and 15 drawstring bags.

The Gold Coast Marathon presented by ASICS and the Gold Coast Half Marathon are currently at capacity however there is still opportunity to be a part of the action and enter the CPL Wheelchair Marathon and 10km Wheelchair event, the Southern Cross University 10km Run, Gold Coast Airport 5km Run, the 2km or 4km Junior Dash or the 4km Wheelchair race.
