Statement issued by Events Management Queensland

Events Management Queensland (EMQ) has reached out to offer support to the partner of marathon participant Camryn Lloyd who experienced a medical episode in Sunday’s Gold Coast Marathon. Our thoughts are with him, his family and friends and we are praying for Camryn’s recovery.

The Gold Coast Marathon is a mass participation event, and we work closely with Queensland Health and emergency services every year to ensure there is adequate medical personnel, facilities and response processes in place should an emergency occur.
