Take on a personal challenge and join thousands of others at the 38th annual Gold Coast Airport Marathon held on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 July 2017.

Enjoy the beautiful Gold Coast conditions on the fast, flat and scenic course which takes in the sights of Australia’s picturesque coastline. The internationally recognised event received an International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Road Race Gold Label in 2014 and continues to attract international attention.

Check In Centres

All race entrants are required to collect their race bib from one of our dedicated Check In Centres. The Check In Centre is open in conjunction with the ASICS Sport and Leisure Expo. You will be able to select your preferred pickup location when you register for the event. Please note you will be required to bring Photo ID to collect your race bib.

A women’s race record and the first back-to-back men’s winner in 17 years headlined the 38th annual Gold Coast Airport Marathon, an IAAF Gold Label Road Race, in glorious Gold Coast conditions today.


Mungara goes back-to-back by a razor’s edge in the Gold Coast Airport Marathon

Kenyan barber Kenneth Mungara today became the first back-to-back winner of the Gold Coast Airport Marathon since fellow Kenyan Fred Kiprop famously nailed the 1998 and 1999 double while the women’s race record tumbled at the hands of diminutive Japanese runner Misato Horie.


Race records tumble as Fearnley and Dawes secure Wheelchair Marathon titles

Australian athletics stars Kurt Fearnley and Christie Dawes produced sensational wins in the wheelchair marathon races at this morning’s Gold Coast Airport Marathon, and in doing do, fine-tuned their Rio 2016 Paralympic Games preparations.
