One of Australia’s largest pharmacy retailers has taken a different tact in their mission to improve the well-being of their customers by signing on as an event partner with the Gold Coast Marathon presented by ASICS.

An Australian owned company, Chemist Warehouse who boast more than 500 stores across the country and employ over 20,000 people will become the ‘Official Pharmacy’ and ‘Official Sunscreen’ provider for the 6 -7 July event.

With record numbers on the horizon for the event and a history of sunshine over race weekend Events Management Queensland (EMQ) CEO Ben Mannion said it was great to have a partner on board that would be providing sunscreen for participants.

“Chemist Warehouse have aligned their brand to ours through a shared intent to improve health and wellbeing and contribute to overall public health.

“They will have a significant presence on the Gold Coast Marathon event lawn over race weekend providing samples and giveaways to people in the precinct.

“We are grateful to have them on board and encourage our participants and all event stakeholders to support Chemist Warehouse and other event partners who through their commitment help us to deliver a world class event,” Mr Mannion said.

The Gold Coast Marathon presented by ASICS and the Gold Coast Half Marathon and Southern Cross University 10km run are currently at capacity however there is still opportunity to be a part of the action and enter the CPL Wheelchair Marathon and 10km Wheelchair event, the Gold Coast Airport 5km Run, the Gold Coast Bulletin 2km or 4km Junior Dash or the 4km Wheelchair race.
