Gold Coast Airport 5km
The Gold Coast Airport 5km is an event for everyone and starts at 11:45am on Saturday 5 July. Join thousands of all ages and abilities and run/walk/wheel for the good times from Southport to Labrador on Australia’s flattest, fastest and most scenic course.
Elite starts are available for application via the registration form and prize money will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed male and female!

*There is no minimum age however all entrants 11 years and under must be accompanied by a registered parent/guardian for the entire duration of the race and the accompanying adult takes full responsibility for the safety of the entrant.

Getting to the Start Line
Whether you drive and park, catch a bus or tram, get dropped off or walk if you are staying close by, it’s important to plan how you’ll get to and from the race precinct. Please ensure you arrive at least one hour before your race.
Start Zones
Ensure you assemble in your start zone as indicated by the letter printed on your race number. Please be aware that anyone found deliberately running out of their designated start zone may be disqualified without a race result. If you would like to update your Start Zone, please visit the Update my Entry portal prior to collection of your race number.
Past Results
See if you achieved a personal best or how you fared against others with our results featuring split times. You can also print off your finisher certificate and share your result socially. Past results are available from 2006 – 2024.
Race Precinct
The Race Precinct is located at the Broadwater Parklands, Marine Parade in Southport. It is where the start and finish lines are located and is the centre of all the action and atmosphere on race weekend.
Policies & Etiquette
Before racing in the Gold Coast Airport 5km it’s important you read and understand the cut off policy, race policy, race etiquette and weather policy. These policies are to ensure the safety of all participants over race weekend.
Aid Stations and Medical
Familiarise yourself with the 2 water and refreshment stations on the Gold Coast Airport 5km course. FIXX Nutrition endurance drink mix Fuel X and water will be available.
Purchase your iTab
An iTaB is a personalised medal insert, engraved with your name and net time that fits neatly in to the back of your finishers’ medal. Purchase one with your registration or after your event.
Pram Information
Prams are permitted in the Gold Coast Airport 5km only and must start at the back of the field. Please ensure you register your pram and provide details of the child you are pushing on your registration form. There is no charge for the child being pushed in the pram, however if your child would like finisher rewards they must be entered.
Accompanying Parent/Guardian
All children aged 11 years and under competing in the 5km must be accompanied by a registered parent/guardian for the entire duration of the race and the accompanying parent takes full responsibility for their safety. Parents registered in a race other than the 5km will be provided with a companion race number.

Be a part of the buzz and excitement of Australia’s leading marathon by lining the Gold Coast streets from Runaway Bay to Burleigh Heads and encourage thousands of runners to marathon glory.

The ASICS Sport & Leisure Expo is Australia’s largest running exhibition featuring a huge ASICS pop-up store with official merchandise, sports & leisure exhibitors, sponsor stands and photo opportunities. Collect your Race Number and secure some great deals!
