ASICS Half Marathon




Run before the sun in the ASICS Half Marathon (21.095km) at 6am on Saturday 3 July. Enjoy the good times on our world-standard course while soaking up the beautiful broadwater on your return journey from Southport to Paradise Point.
Enjoy scenic sunrise views over the water as you run through Labrador to Runaway Bay before being championed to the finish chute located adjacent to the broadwater in Southport.

Race Number Postage
Due to Covid Restrictions, we will be posting your race number directly to you prior to race weekend. Race Entries close on Friday 4 June and we will commence packing and posting on Monday 7 June. Please expect your race number to arrive at your provided address between Wednesday 9th and Friday 25th June.
Virtual Training Runs
Keep on track with your training by competing virtually in our #GCM21 training runs. We are offering two free training runs to entrants prior to race weekend.


Pace Your Race
Reach your ASICS Half Marathon goal and purchase a silicon pace band for $5. Pace bands are available online to purchase during your entry.

Getting to the start line
Whether you drive and park, catch a bus or tram, get dropped off or walk if you are staying close by, it’s important to plan how you’ll get to and from the race precinct. Please ensure you arrive at least one hour before your race.
Race Precinct
The Race Precinct is located at the Broadwater Parklands, Marine Parade in Southport. It is where the start and finish lines are located and is the centre of all the action and atmosphere on race weekend.
Start Zones
Ensure you assemble in your start zone as indicated by the letter printed on your race number. Please be aware that anyone found deliberately running out of their designated start zone may be disqualified without a race result.
Course Map
The ASICS Half Marathon is famous for its flat, fast and scenic course located alongside the city’s renowned surf beaches and broadwater. Familiarise yourself with the course’s aid stations, kilometre markers and toilets.
Policies & Etiquette
Before racing in the ASICS Half Marathon it’s important you read and understand the cut off policy, race policy, race etiquette and weather policy. These policies are to ensure the safety of all participants over race weekend.
Finisher rewards
Celebrate your ASICS Half Marathon achievement by collecting your finisher shirt and medal in the Nu-Pure Recovery Area and download your finisher certificate after the event.
Aid stations and medical
Familiarise yourself with the 8 water and refreshment stations on the ASICS Half Marathon course. Endura Rehydration Performance Fuel and water will be available.

Be a part of the buzz and excitement of Australia’s leading marathon by lining the Gold Coast streets from Southport to Paradise Point and encourage thousands of runners to marathon glory.
Purchase your iTab
An iTaB is a personalised medal insert, engraved with your name and net time that fits neatly in to the back of your finishers’ medal. Purchase one with your registration or after your event.
