Pace Runner Profiles – 10km Run
Southern Cross University 10km Run
Running can be a team sport, so I want to help others work together to achieve goals and give good vibes back to the running community that I have received for many years. I love the emotion you see in people when running- the hurt, the smiles, the joy and tears while living their dreams.
I love giving encouragement and support to other runners. That feeling of knowing I have helped other runners accomplish their goals ticks all the boxes and I love giving back the support that has helped me get to where I am today.
Run with me and I will help you achieve your very best. Get ready as there’s sure to be some pain, sweat and a bit of hard work BUT I can guarantee plenty of laughs, fun, huge smiles and high fives as we cross the finish line knowing you have given it your all. Can’t wait to see you there!
I enjoy helping others achieve their running goals and helping them find the freedom I have found in running. I love the whole atmosphere and the feeling I get from being able to encourage and motivate people towards realising their goals. I love seeing the anticipation and sense of achievement on people’s faces.
Running started for me with the Southern Cross University 10km Run. I know the feeling and excitement of reaching that goal and it gives me absolute gratitude to give back to the community that started my own running journey. I love seeing people at the end of the race who have made their goal time – it makes me so proud to see people give it their all and see the support they are given on course to encourage them.
Since recovering from liver disease I have come to discover just how amazing the human body is and what we can do as humans when we believe what is possible. I wish to help others achieve their goals and be the one to say “yes you can” when that voice in your head is saying you can’t. I love the idea that runners at my pace on the day can forget about their Garmin and just take it all in knowing if they can see me and my balloons when they cross that line they have achieved something to be proud of.
Being able to pace for this event allows me to contribute back to the running community. I enjoy running as it allows me to be with nature and around people of the same passion as me. Pacing allows me to help those around me to achieve their running goals.
Running is my most enjoyable sport amongst others such as swimming, biking and tennis. To run in well organised running events and help others is to give something back. I am amazed at how nervous first time event runners are, so as a pacer it is my pleasure to help them achieve their goals.
