*** There is no minimum age for the 5km Challenge however all entrants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a registered parent/guardian for the entire duration of the race and the accompanying adult takes full responsibility for the safety of the entrant under 12.
Can I participate with a baby in a pram? YES PRAMS ARE ONLY PERMITTED IN THE 5KM CHALLENGE AND MUST START AT THE BACK OF THE FIELD. If parents would like the child to receive the finisher's rewards then they must enter and pay the appropriate entry fee as per the usual entry process. If the child is being pushed in a pram but does not wish to receive the finisher's rewards they must still complete an entry form and hand it in to the 'Help Desk' at the Gold Coast Registration Centre where an identification wristband will be issued to allow them on the course. In this case, there is no charge for the child.
